To ensure the longevity and quality of direct-to-film (DTF) transferred t-shirts, it’s important to follow proper care guidelines. 

• Washing:

  • Turn the t-shirt inside out before washing. This helps protect the DTF transfer from direct contact with other items in the wash.
  • Use cold water for washing. Hot water can weaken the adhesive used in the DTF transfer, causing it to peel or crack.
  • Choose a gentle cycle on your washing machine to minimize agitation, which can stress the film.

• Detergent:

  • Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach or fabric softeners, as they can degrade the adhesive or the ink of the transfer.

• Drying:

  • Air dry the t-shirt if possible. Hang it or lay it flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
  • If you need to use a dryer, use the lowest heat setting. High heat can melt or distort the film of the DTF transfer.

• Ironing:

  • If ironing is necessary, do not iron directly on the print. Turn the shirt inside out to iron it, or place a thin cloth or parchment paper between the iron and the transfer.
  • Use a low heat setting on your iron.

• Storage:

  • Avoid folding the t-shirt where the design is located to minimize creasing the transfer. Instead, try to hang the t-shirt up or fold it in a way that avoids pressing the design.

By following these care instructions, your DTF transferred t-shirts should maintain their quality and appearance for a long time.
